Nestled among the tree tops and set upon a hill overlooking the lush Costa Rican landscape, Palmas Escondidas provides you the opportunity to escape, rejuvenate and let go of it all. Sitting on your patio, you will hear the birds chirping, the monkey's rustling in the trees, and the distant sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Most days you will watch as the sun kisses the day away and the clouds replicate a Bob Ross painting as you enjoy your sunset cocktail and dinner with friends and family. Other days you will watch the thunderheads roll in, as the seasonal rain washes your worries away. Dream big as you take in the night sky and gaze up at the stars on a clear night. And finally, as you rest your head for the night, you will hear the crickets chirping and the geckos calling among the gentle night time sounds, typical of Costa Rica.

Palmas Escondidas is a private, gated property with local “Tico’s”, ex-pats, and other travelers as your neighbors. The gardeners and other local workers will give you a friendly and welcoming greeting when on the property. Rest assured we have hired trustworthy groundskeepers and property management to ensure your safety, but we do provide safes and the ability to lock all doors and windows for your convenience and comfort level. If you have any privacy questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out out to us. We are happy to accommodate when we can.

As a family of 6 from Texas, we dreamed of living in a place with our family where we could enjoy multiple activities during the day. Surf in the morning, mountain bike in the afternoon, followed by a nice cocktail or glass of wine at sunset. We wanted all of this, while enjoying the peace and tranquility of a cozy beach town, located a short drive away from local amenities and surrounding beach towns.
